We are seeking a Human Resources professional to take on the role of Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager, as a crucial member of the senior management team, contributes to ensuring the organization operates in accordance with applicable acts, codes, legislation, and regulations. This is essential to mitigate legal risks, prioritize employee safety, and implement best practices for recruiting and retaining a highly skilled workforce. The HR Manager is responsible for aligning any plans, policies, or procedures with the vision and mission established by the Council.

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Human Resources and five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource related roles OR High School Diploma with 10 years’ direct experience in Human Resources with ability to complete training as directed
- Membership in good standing with the HRPA (Human Resources Professional Association); designation considered an asset
- Two (2) years’ supervisory experience including coaching, mentoring and or training
- Experience working in a First Nation and or Indigenous community and or organization
- Demonstrated abilities in key human resource duties, including hiring, pension and benefit administration and maintenance, health and safety, training and development, investigations, report writing, performance management, personnel management, information management, conflict resolution including legal matters
- Knowledge of federal and provincial acts, codes, regulations and legislation that pertains to human resources including the Canadian Labour Code, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Rights, etc.
- Skilled with office equipment, computers and various software including Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.

Labourers perform physical tasks such as cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures, digging trenches, compacting earth, reading and following construction plans and blueprints and assisting skilled craftspeople with their duties. The job of a labourer varies, changing from day to day. They perform a variety of duties involving tool use, lifting, carrying and managing equipment and machinery to provide support and aid to the craftspeople in-site.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience driving and/or operating heavy construction equipment, and/or working as a labourer on and around heavy equipment on construction sites.
- Valid Class G Drivers Licence with an acceptable Drivers Abstract
- Ability to obtain DZ or AZ within first year of employment
- Recent acceptable Criminal Record Check
- Must have knowledge and training in Traffic Control and Occupational Health and Safety Act

Qualifications
- Must be a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators in Ontario, in good standing.

care program. - Willing to provide copies of negative Criminal Records check with Vulnerable Sector Screening; valid
Standard First Aid, including infant and child CPR if employment is offered.
Knowledge

and curriculum; and program quality and needs development and practices for child care delivery in First
Nation communities - Knowledge of services for children and families such as child care, early child development and special

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Education with an Honours BA/BSc/BSW, and two additional qualifications in First Nation, Metis and Inuit Counselling and Support and Special Education, or related specialization; OR Master's degree in Psychology, Psychiatry or Social Work from an accredited institution with experience working in an educational setting.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a direct service role;
• Knowledge and experience in core service areas of child development, parenting, interpersonal concerns, physical/emotional/spiritual/mental wellbeing, work issues, mental health and addictions;
• Experience working for First Nations or First Nations Organizations.
Knowledge:
• Ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined team, including professional commitment, flexibility and good dispute resolution skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and safe guard client privacy and understand and comply with all PHIPA standards.
• Maintain accuracy and strong attention to detail regarding all levels of work.
• Must have experience assessing high risk clients and responding appropriately.
• Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with community resources, treatment centres, social service networks and organizations.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adhere to professional codes of conduct specific to professional memberships or registrations.
• Lead, coach and supervise the Student Support Services team at all levels of work.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills are required.

When Program Supervisors/Managers identify a need, they contact Human Resources for a list of those interested who have the requirements they are looking for. Resumes are kept on file for a period of six (6) months.
