If you are looking for help with addictions services, or mental health crisis services, there are a number of ways to receive help. The Harm Reduction Worker is available to help you navigate these steps and services.

We are here for you. If you don't see the right service on this page, please call the Nawash Health Centre at 519-534-0373 to get the support you need.

For ALL Medical or Physical Emergencies dial 911 immediately.

The Nawash Alcoholics Anonymous Support Group meets every Friday at the Maadookii Centre at 7:00 PM. The group is open to everyone for support with both drug and alcohol use issues.

Naloxone kits and training are always available. Protect yourself and your loved ones. Text or call the Harm Reduction and Outreach Worker at 519-375-6896 to arrange for a training session or pick-up.

For information on all local services in the Grey Bruce area, dial 211, available 24/7, 365 days a year.

 

The Canadian Mental Health and Addiction Services (CHMA) Crisis Hotline is available 24/7 and can refer you to other local services as well. Call the CMHA Hotline at 1-877-470-5200. You can also text HOME to 686868 to text with a trained Crisis Responder.

The Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic can provide fast access to alcohol and substance use counselling and provide withdrawal management medications. Clinic staff are also in Neyaashiinigmiing every Wednesday at the Nawash Health Centre. Hope Grey Bruce offers Mental Health and Addictions Services specializes in the treatment of mental health, substance, drug and alcohol abuse and offers different treatment options, including inpatient residential treatment and group or individual therapy. Call HGB at 519-371-4120.

Grey Bruce Withdrawal Management Services is a residential detox, open 24/7. Bed spaces are first-come-first-served. Referrals are not required. Drop in or call GBWMS at 519-376-5666, extension 1.

Choices Drug and Alcohol Counselling for Youth is a Grey Bruce-area service geared to youth, ages 10-20. They conduct outreach to 11 local high schools and offer community and self-referred services. Call Choices at 519-371-5487 or 1-800-265-3133.

National Overdose Response Service (NORS) is an overdose prevention hotline for Canadians providing loving, confidential, nonjudgmental support for you, whenever and wherever you use drugs. The service is available 24/7.
