Chippewas of Nawash Language Revitalization Plan
The Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation is launching a Language Revitalization Plan to preserve and strengthen our ancestral language. Guided by the First Peoples Cultural Council’s Language Revitalization Toolkit, this initiative will be used to reinvigorate the Ojibway Language among the Chippewas of Nawash membership.
Project Overview
The Language Revitalization Plan will focus on community engagement, cultural reinvigoration, and sustainable language education. This plan will outline key strategies and actions to support language learning and usage across the community.

We are currently seeking quotes from qualified contractors to help develop this plan. The selected service provider will manage the project, oversee community consultations, and create a final language revitalization strategy based on the First Peoples Cultural Council’s toolkit.
